Houston Area Law Librarians (HALL) is a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). It began as an informal group that met at lunch to exchange ideas and suggestions and the librarians meeting back then represented libraries of six law firms, four corporations, three law schools, and one city agency. HALL was organized formally in 1978 and became a chapter of the AALL in 1981.

HALL meets monthly, August through May.

Today, we have almost 100 members from firm, law school, and government law libraries as well as vendors.
