Manager of Library Research - Austin
The manager of library research will be responsible for the daily operation of the library’s research function, including coordinated maintenance of library materials and managing the coverage of the (virtual) reference desk. The manager will work closely with the Director of Library and Information Resources to develop educational sessions, including in-person training, conduct client development research and assist with troubleshooting issues related to research products and services. The manager should possess demonstrated problem solving, organizational and administrative skills. Additionally, strong research and database skills, including utilization of research databases is required.
A successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from an accredited library school and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a law firm or corporate law library. Thorough knowledge of print and online legal and non-legal resources is also required. This position requires an advanced knowledge of library management and related work experience.
