Program: Current Issues in Immigration Law

Speaker: Professor Geoffrey Hoffman, Director, University of Houston Law Center Immigration Clinic

Professor Geoffrey Hoffman, Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the University of Houston Law Center Immigration Clinic, will speaking on current issues in immigration law. He teaches courses on Immigration Law, Immigration Clinic, Asylum, and CrImmigration-Issues at the Intersection of Criminal and Immigration Law. Professor Hoffman specializes in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals, deportation defense, asylum, and immigration-related federal court litigation. He has served as counsel or co-counsel in over 48 appellate and trial court cases. Professor Hoffman served as co-counsel before the U.S. Supreme Court in the precedent-setting immigration case, Carachuri-Rosendo v. Holder.
