Program: Oral History of Law Librarianship Project

Speaker: Patrick E. Kehoe

Patrick E. Kehoe will be in Houston in November to conduct interviews for the Oral History of Law Librarianship Project - part of Spinelli's Law Library Reference Shelf on HeinOnline. He has graciously agreed to tell us about the project at the November HALL Meeting and to provide his own recollections of the profession in Houston when he lived and worked here.

Mr. Kehoe served as Director of the Law Library at American University for 30 years before retiring in 2003. His career in academia also includes time in Houston - he served as Associate Director of the Law Library at the University of Houston between 1968 and 1971. His service to our profession includes two years as president of the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, D.C. and many positions in AALL, including President in 1995-96. Pat has been honored with AALL's highest award - the Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service Award, and was an inaugural inductee of the AALL Hall of Fame.

Menu: Pappas BBQ Box Lunch

Option 1: Sandwich with choice of beef brisket, chicken, turkey breast, OR link sausage, and choice of two sides: potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, or chips.

Option 2: Chef Salad with chicken, turkey or no meat, and choice of ranch or Italian dressing.

Both options include a jumbo chocolate chip cookie.
